Printing shipping eBay labels from eBay Shipping on a Mac.

Below you'll find a tutorial teaching you how to set up and use the Peninsula Thermal Printer Driver to print USPS shipping labels directly from the ebay shipping website to your thermal printer on Mac.


You will only need to complete the following instructions once.

1. Setting up ebay shipping to print to your thermal printer

  • a)


    • Go to the Sold section of My ebay.

  • b)



    • From the actions menu to the left of the item select "Print Shipping Label".

  • c)



    • Review the details on the Print postage label page making sure you choose USPS as the Carrier.

  • d)



    • At the top of the page select "Printer and label receipt preferences".

  • e)



    • On the "Label printing preferences" box that appears select "Any laser or inkjet printer" from the pop up.

  • f)



    • Make sure that the "Shipping label with receipt and instructions" checkbox is checked.

  • g)



    • Click save to save and close the "Printer and label receipt preferences" dialog.

  • h)



    • Once all the above steps are completed click the purchase postage button.

  • i)



    • On the page that loads click the print label button.

  • j)



    • The system print dialog will open.
       Click the PDF button in the bottom left of the print dialog and choose "Save as PDF..." then choose a location to save the PDF to.
       (You will need this later to feed to the Thermal Utility to set the page extraction settings in the next step)

        Please continue to step 2.



2. Setting up your thermal printer for printing from ebay


  • a)


    • Open the Thermal Utility enter your computer password to allow the drivers to install
    and then click "Click Here To Install Your Printer Now".

  • b)



    • Follow the onscreen steps until you reach the "Label/Page Sizes" step and choose 6 x 4 inches from the popup and click "Add".

    Click the "Next" button.

  • c)



    • Follow the onscreen steps until you reach the "Choose what applications you are printing from" step and select
    "Web Browser (ie Safari, Chrome etc)".

    Click the "Next" button.

  • d)


    • Choose eBay Shipping and click the "Next" button.

  • e)



    • A window will open underneath this window in the utility.
    Drag the PDF file we saved earlier onto the window,
    click "No" and set the label size to the correct size of your labels from the popup at the bottom.

  • f)



    • Drag the image and use the controls at the bottom to correctly position the area you wish to print (the label section) onto the label. Scale it if you need too.

  • g)



    • When it is positioned correctly click save to save the extraction settings.

  • h)



    • As this printer is now set up specifically for ebay we recommend giving it a different name and allow you to change this.

    You may install the same printer multiple times with different settings and a different name using the Thermal Utility allowing you to set the extraction up for different websites and applications and simply choose the printer on the print dialog to print with those settings. Click next when you are happy with the name.

  • i)



    • Click add printer.

  • j)



    • The installation will take a few seconds and then the installation complete message will show. The printer is now installed and you may close the Thermal Utility.

    The setup is now complete simply return to ebay and print your labels selecting the printer we just installed.

    Remember to choose "Extract from Page" as the page size when printing.
